Our Story

NSS is a tight-knit group that has grown into a world-class radar, radio-frequency and defense electronics engineering powerhouse. In the same manner as Bill Hewlett and David Packard's formation of HP, we started out in a garage! Today we are a team of over 70 professionals at two sites, recognized as a preferred provider of reliable technical solutions that accommodate aggressive cost and schedule considerations.

Founded in 2001, NSS has placed a variety of WRAs (LRUs) on military assets, both airborne and sea-based. A hallmark of our product design and quality manufacturing is exceptional reliability, often outperforming the devices that we replace by a factor of 20 or more. NSS single-handedly increased the reliability (measured in terms of fleet availability) of the U.S. Navy’s E-2C Hawkeye--a national asset--by more than a factor of two, with the introduction of just two WRAs-one with a reliability increase of 2000%, the other with a reliability improvement of 5000%.
